Allard is an associate with the firm experienced with drafting and prosecuting patent applications domestically and internationally. He has experience working with in-house counsel for prosecution and with foreign agents for managing international filings. Allard has experience across a range of electromechanical technology areas, including in industrial automation, automotive systems, medical devices, consumer electronics, aerospace components, high technology manufacturing, and user interfaces.
Allard has experience successfully petitioning for institution of inter partes review with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and has experience providing litigation support for intellectual property matters.
Allard has performed opinion work and freedom-to-operate analysis for clients, and worked with them to monitor their portfolio and product development strategies.
Previously, Allard was an associate with a midsize intellectual property law firm in Washington D.C.
Allard received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where he served as a notes editor on the Federal Communications Law Journal and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Allard earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. As part of his dual-degree engineering program, Allard also received a B.A. in Business Management Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
